Painters, graffiti writers, sticker makers, paste-up crews, photographers, muralists, anyone up a ladder at an odd hour with a bucket and work clothes. Some of them are Repair People. Most are not. You cannot tell which.
A Repair Person treats a crack in a wall the way a plumber treats a burst pipe. What the city sees as a tag, a sticker, a mural or a fresh coat of paint may be structural maintenance. They are hard to get to know. Ask one a question and you will get a short answer and a person already turning back to the work. Nobody knows exactly what they are, and the city has decided not to ask.
They take their priorities from the Morning Meeting and their odd ideas from the Green Static. Everything they fix stays visible, because that is the point: the repair is also the art, and the art is what keeps people noticing.
